3/3/19 – Glentress

On the the 3/3/19, my dad, my friend and I set out for Glentress near Peebles in the Scottish Borders to take lots of shots for my final film to show my progress. Even though my bike ended up falling off the roof of the car we all got there in the end.

It was a beautiful day with a clear blue sky which is ideal for taking videos. In Glentress there is everything from smooth fast trails with lots of jumps to rocky technical descents. One of my favourite shots from my first film I made was one where both of the riders jumped past the camera so I thought I’d do that again at Glentress. It worked well put together with lot of other side shots, from the head, and from the handle bars.

I could also borrow my friends Gopro so I could film from two different angles while doing the exact same thing. Before I would have to do a run then go back up to the top and repeat it for the other angle. The problem here is that sometimes the two shots put side by side don’t line up perfectly.

I edited this together along to a song, however this time I made it a classic action video unlike the one I made for Helensburgh. This video is all about the quick jump shots, low down fast moving shots, and smooth air time.
